The Val d'Orne - Putanges-le-Lac is not a flat country and its charm is revealed precisely by its deep valleys and the rocky escarpments that surround it.
The low altitude circuits around our villages will appeal to families. The more athletic will prefer our many coasts and small steep roads. In any case, our territory left a memorable memory ... on your calves!


BIKE RENTAL

Electrically assisted bicycles or VAE are available for hire at the Pays de Putanges Tourist Office, from Monday to Saturday.
Our bikes have a range of 80 km, anti- puncture tyres and a kilometre reader.
The bicycle rental includes an assistance service.
1/2 day package: € 10 - Day package: € 15
Family rate 4 bikes*: 1/2 day : €35 - a day: €50
* children over 12 years old
Means of payment: Cash, Bank checks and bank cards

LA VÉLO FRANCETTE®

Explore 607 km of rural routes of which 140 km are in Normandy.The Vélo Francette® links Ouistreham to La Rochelle passing through three regions: Normandy, the Pays de la Loire and Poitou-Charentes, so as to provide connections with the other major routes in Western France: the Véloscenic', the Loire by bike and Vélodyssée.

For the section in Normandy, the route crosses the Calvados county leaving the seaside resort of Ouistreham, through Caen and following the Orne Valley in 'Suisse Normande'. The adventure continues towards Flers and Domfront leaving the Orne county.

The village of La Forêt-Auvray, delegated village of Putanges-le-Lac, is 5 km away from the Vélo Francette®.

LA VÉLOSCÉNIE

'La Veloscénie' is a well-signposted route from Paris via Chartres and Normandy, to the Mont St-Michel. This exceptional trail crosses such gorgeous areas as the Chevreuse Valley, the Perche, French Maine and the Bocage Normand. The route is accessible to different levels of cyclist. Long stretches are along greenways, linked by quiet roads.

The village of Faverolles is 15 km away from 'La Veloscénie' .
