CHÂTEAU DE RABODANGES

Putanges-le-Lac

DESCRIPTION

Built in the last years of the reign of Louis XIII, the castle of Rabodanges is well representative of its time, with its architecture almost totally devoid of ornamentation, but offering a very successful subtle game between horizontal lines and vertical lines. This beautiful house of the seventeenth century, which was the seat of a marquisate, harmonizes with its park that recalls the realisations of Le Nôtre. Located at the top of a promontory, it dominates the entire Orne Valley, in the heart of Swiss Normandy.
Listed historical monument. You can visit the park and gardens.
