Castles
Château des Ostieux

Visit of the Park and the exteriors.
Spoiled for nearly 200 years by the same family, the estate was taken over in 2013 to be inhabited throughout the year. The property emerge now slowly from its sleep and its rehabilitation is inspired by life in the 19th century. Thus the farmyard live through again, the vegetable garden gradually resumes its functions, and the orangery find again a second youth.
Nestled in the heart of the Val d'Orne and at the gates of Swiss Normandy, the domain of the Ostieux, listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments presents its park of 16 ha for a walk through time.
The history of this family estate begins 500 years ago. The estate developed over the centuries to become a fully autonomous place of life at the end of the 18th century. The Ostieux have retained many elements witnessing the art of living of yesteryear.
The facades of the castle, the centenarian trees, the chapel and the water features are some of the elements that will also feed your curiosity during this walk over time.
